Eureka!! This is what I need!

My brain is subpar and runs at levels Slow or Can't Remember all day. I am in serious need of tDCS flow.

Experiment Fail/Success

My experiment went like this: 

1.Put Interfaced out there.

2.Don't ask anyone to review it. No family, No friends, No strangers.

If you think this was a bad idea, you are correct! I still don't regret it.

So, nothing happened the first free run. I didn't promote it and nothing happened.

The second free run, I promoted with EBook Booster and had over 7,000 downloads. Interfaced was the #1 downloaded free book in Sci Fi and Tech thrillers. Wow, I thought, those reviews were going to hose me full blast.

That didn't happen. To date, 18 reviews on Amazon and 16 on Goodreads. Oh, I also changed my experiment and solicited strangers (Vine Reviewers/Top Reviewers). I emailed maybe 50, and got 5 responses. BTW, Thank You to those 5!!!! You are awesome!

Alas, the review numbers were underwhelming and did not equal the effort/marketing. Fail.

On the success side, I did get reviews and they have been positive, which was--(a huge relief)--thrilling!

I am so grateful to each and every person who took the time to review. You people are so incredibly generous, I love you and want to have all your babies. 

Also, Goodreads is a better spread-the-word medium than Amazon (which is utter common sense, I suppose, if I'd ever thought about it). I continue to get new reviews on Goodreads every couple days. Yeah!

Amazon Experiment

So I haven't asked a single family member/friend/writer friend/stranger to read and review my novel INTERFACED. Partly because I hate asking and I'm an introvert, partly because I want to see what happens when I run it free with no reviews attached to it. I published it 6 days ago and it hasn't sold a single copy. Of course it hasn't, no one knows it exists.

It will be FREE Thursday and Friday. We'll see what happens...

What does 94% knockdown mean?

It means the stock is up. And RNA interference seems to have a future.

And yes, I own the stock. Not much--I am of modest means--but it's still fun to pretend I'm clairvoyant.
